My Experience in the Honours Program
I first joined the Honours Program to challenge myself, get out of my comfort zone, get more involved, meet new people, connect with my teachers, and most of all, to gain an enriching experience. Looking back now, I can confidently say that it gave me all of that and more.

These past two years as an Honours student have been incredibly educational and eye-opening. I participated in activities I never would have tried otherwise, discovered new opportunities through the people I met, and built friendships that made this journey even more meaningful. Together, we motivated each other to do better, be better, and try new things. We shared experiences, supported one another, and created memories that I’ll carry with me for a long time.

I haven’t always had the highest grades, there have been ups and downs along the way, but that’s part of what made this experience so meaningful. Even though the Honours Program requires you to do well academically, it’s about so much more than just grades. It’s about curiosity, initiative, growth, and being part of a community that values learning in all its forms. This program gave me the chance to shine in ways that go beyond marks.

Of course, there were moments when the program felt like an extra weight, especially during tougher times when balancing everything wasn’t easy. But even then, I believe it had a positive impact. It kept me grounded, focused, and motivated to keep going. It reminded me why I joined in the first place: to grow.

Beyond the academics, what I loved most were the adventures this program brought into my life. Whether it was a group activity, a project, or simply a conversation that sparked a new idea, the Honours Program gave me experiences that influenced me, both as a student and as a person.

Being part of this program wasn’t just about achievements. It was about learning, connecting, and evolving. And for that, I’m truly grateful.

Thank you, Mr. Scarone, for believing in me!
